I recently was contacted by a customer who saw my dad’s Monaco Grand Prix poster at his shop. He loved what I did for my father and wanted me to make one for his daughter. My mother originally told me he wanted me to recreate the Point in Longport. His daughter explained to me that she wanted her son. I decided to combine the two wants into one portrait. The setting is based on a photograph I took. They really liked the result.
As you may noticed, I created the new logo for the Mays Landing Merchants Association. Along with the logo, they wanted a rack card to put in the supporting businesses to let the community know what the Merchants Association does and the events they throw during the year. It was a very interesting project that was a challenge. They gave me all the information and in fact wanted more than what is currently on the card. This created the challenge of fitting all of it on the card that was legible when printed, easy to read, and formatted well. The photos were provided by them and I believed it turned out very well.
The Mays Landing Merchants Association is going through a major branding change. They want to break through the confines of an eclectic built brand and want to have something they can be proud of that represents their city. After a number of different mockups that we went through, they chose this one that is a combination of an ideograph logo and a logotype. The idea behind this is that they can have something that represents their city which is known for having both the Egg Harbor River and Lake Lenape. The ideograph can be recognized by itself or with the words. It also works as a vertical logo with the words underneath or next to it.
The color choice was based off their requests.
Today is my father’s birthday. I was struggling to come up with an idea for a gift until we went into a cafe in Monterey, California. On the walls, they had recreations of the Monaco Grand Prix. In that instant, I wanted to make my own version. This is what I came up with for his birthday. It is 24×36. You can see it in the later videos of the Kneble’s Auto Service Center Weekly Marketing Videos.
The Mays Landing Halloween Parade is one of the most popular events in the city. It has been happening annually for the last 62 years. This year, they wanted to be more social and by doing so, we focused on the children. Snapchat was the perfect outlet that not only takes advantage of the parade while sharing with others. This GeoFilter is haunted and fun. I took regular caution tape and replaced the word, caution with the word Danger with spooky font. I added some blood splatters along with some “toxic” and glowing font on the bottom. From what I heard, people loved this filter. It was used 344 times and seen 17,185 times. Not bad for a complete surprise. Here is an example of it being used with a lovely photo of me and a child who thought I was actually Captain America.
A number of months ago, my sisters had their 21st birthday party. I vowed that I would make it the best party they have ever been to. Well, thanks to my parents, I had to deal with the pregame. Of course, I had all the stereotypical gifts and setup. Although, I wanted to go the extra mile. Knowing that my sisters love Snapchat, I decided that a custom GeoFilter would be the most ideal and over-the-top present. Without telling them, I covered half of Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City being that I wasn’t sure what tower they were going to be staying at. I also had to cover The Pool. I created the GeoFilter to look like their cabana and then I learned 3D to make the 21st look like balloons. Overall, they were absolutely ecstatic when they saw this filter. It was used 153 times and seen 10,303 times. Not bad for a complete surprise.
